Scholarships

On a national level, the SHRM Foundation offers one graduate award of $5,000 and two undergraduate awards of $2,500 each, annually. The Leonard R. Brice, SPHR, Undergraduate Leadership Award and SHRM Foundation Graduate Student Leadership Awards consist of a $1,000 scholarship, a commemorative plaque, and a complimentary registration to the Society's annual conference. The SHRM Foundation Dr. Lisa Burke, SPHR, scholarship is awarded annually to students paying their own way through school and who have not received other SHRM national awards and scholarships. This award includes a $1,000 scholarship, a commemorative plaque, and a complimentary registration to the Society's annual conference.

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP AWARDS


The Merit Award Program allows student chapters to be recognized annually for outstanding activities and programming in four broad areas. All chapters are invited to participate. Each fall, the Merit Award application is sent to each chapter. This is to be used as a planning tool throughout the year. In the spring, that application is completed by listing chapter activites in the appropriate categories and collecting points for each objective met. All chapters that accumulate the required number of points are awarded either a Merit or Superior Merit Award in May.
